Leading international rally driver Kris Meeke will be in action on Giru di Corsica-Tour de Corse next week – at the wheel of a Peugeot 208 R2 zero car.

Meeke, who has experience of several FIA European Rally Championship events, works for Peugeot Sport as a test and development driver and was invited to appear in Corsica by company director Bruno Famin.

“I didn’t need asking twice when I was asked if I would like to do it,” said Meeke. “The 208 R2 is an amazing car and I absolutely love driving it. After sitting on the sidelines for a while and not driving on rallies, I’m really keen to be out again.”

Meeke has contested Tour de Corse on two occasions, in 2005 and 2006. Stéphane Sarrazin drove a 208 R2 as zero car in Corsica last season.
