The second leg of the Rally of Turkey is a battle of the tough guys within the WRC, made even worse by the repeat running of some of the toughest stages in the whole championship. The awesome Kumluca test will be run twice, a thought which will fill the crews with dread - the 29 km test at the end of the day could be a decider. After stage eleven (Kemer 1) Citroen's Carlos Sainz leads the event by nearly a minute from Peugeot's Richard Burns. The second day has seen heartbreak for Harri Rovanpera, who suffered terminal suspension failure on SS10, and for Tommi Makinen who lost time in the same stage also with suspension problems. Francois Duval lies in a fine third place, with McRae up to fourth.

More follows throughout the day.
