Markko Martin has electrical problems with his car after SS13 and is stunned that there were no problems before service. See his quotes below after the stage. He's lying in second still just seconds behind Marcus Gronholm, but two stages remain before the next service and fingers crossed his problems will not cause time losses on the next longer stage. It's not looking good, when such an exciting battle was raging - but a man that can drive with the bonnet up a whole stage (earlier this year) can do anything. Markko: "We have a major problem with electronics. The problem started on the road section. It was ok before service. The diffs are not working. It’s like Matrix Reloaded! It’s impossible to drive that thing. There are no readings on the dashboard."

Car 8: Tommi Mäkinen / Kaj Lindström (Subaru Impreza WRC 2003)
“I enjoyed the jump even though we had a heavy landing.” They made some adjustments to the car and it handles better.

Car 11: Freddy Loix / Sven Smeets (Hyundai Accent WRC3)
“The big jump went well. And the road was quite clean. But I didn’t get a good feeling.”

Car 22: Juuso Pykälistö / Esko Mertsalmi (Peugeot 206 WRC)
They have a damaged rear window and have lost their rear spoiler.

Car 18: Sébastien Loeb / Daniel Elena (Citroen Xsara)
“I was careful with the big jump as it’s easy to break something there.”

Car 15: Toni Gardemeister / Paavo Lukander (Skoda Fabia WRC)
They were not able to start the stage due to engine problems. They have retired from the rally.

Car 4: Markko Märtin / Michael Park (Ford Focus RS WRC03)
"We have a major problem with electronics. The problem started on the road section. It was ok before service. The diffs are not working. It’s like Matrix Reloaded! It’s impossible to drive that thing. There are no readings on the dashboard.”

Car: 12 Jussi Välimäki / Jakke Honkanen (Hyundai Accent WRC3)
“We changed the set-up at service but it’s no better.”

Car 1: Marcus Grönholm / Timo Rautainen (Peugeot 206 WRC)
“My pace notes were not quite up to the mark. I didn’t jump at all I just cut my speed.”

Notable retirements update.

Car 6: Mikko Hirvonen / Jarmo Lehtinen (Ford Focus RS WRC02)
Officially retired at end of SS12 after the fire in his engine.

Car 106: Simon Jean-Joseph / Jack Boyere (Renault Clio 1.6 16v)
Retired with mechanical problems SF12

Car 64: Ville-Pertti Teuronen / Harri Kaapro (Suzuki Ignis Super 1600)
Retired with mechanical problems SF12
