To start off this year's Rally Catalunya, today's shakedown was held on a 4.34 kilometres long stage near Tivissa, about 60 kilometres from Salou. Both drivers of the Red Bull Skoda Team were able to complete this final test without any problems, while the supervising team of BRR continued to try different setups.

Gilles Panizzi, who has won this rally twice in the past, starts the fourth WRC event full of confidence: "We had a good test and did the shakedown, where we tested several shock absorber settings, without any problems. I will give 100 percent in this rally and try to achieve a good result."

Andreas Aigner's expectations after the shakedown are similarly optimistic: "The car is alright, the stages' characteristics are varying stongly. There are wide stages with new tarmac surface, and then there are very narrow sections with very undulated, rough and old asphalt. The rally will be very interesting for sure."

The team bosses, Armin Schwarz and Raimund Baumschlager, were very confident as well after today's performance check: "We have done all we can to make it possible that both Fabia WRC get to the finish with a solid performance."
