Francois Duval could continue with his First Motorsport Skoda team in 2007. The Fabia driver, speaking in an interview with Belgian website "DH Net", says though that he has no concrete plans for next season yet.
"There is a possibility of the Skoda-First project continuing, but I don't know the exact details yet," reports the 26 year old. "There is a chance to do a good job together - The Fabia has potential, it is clear, otherwise I would not have been able to set fastest stage times with it. But we miss the financial means to exploit that potential. If the factory (Skoda) could help us more then we could aim for podiums."
Skoda Auto are currently considering their options for 2007 and should announce their plans before the end of the year. Skoda Motorsport boss Martin Meuhelmeier has already said that they will continue to support private teams next year but the Czech marque are also considering an S2000 version of the soon-to-be-released new Fabia or possibly a new WRCar based on that vehiche.
Skoda Belgium and Skoda Auto are known to be pleased with the performance of Duval and his team and have helped them to finish their programme for 2006 after main sponsor Kizz-Me failed to pay up.
