Frenchman Julien Maurin will drive Rene George Rallye Sport's VW Polo S2000 on the Sata Rallye Acores in early may. The youngster, who drove an Abarth Grande Punto on Rallye Monte Carlo, will then switch to RGRS's soon to arrive Skoda Fabia for a further 4 IRC events (Madeira, Asturias, Sanremo, Scotland)
Interestingly, RGRS's Fabia will be free for the Ypres and Barum rallies. With Francois Duval having already been linked with a programme in the car, it looks more than likely that the rapid Belgian will behind the wheel of a Fabia sooner rather than later. Skoda Belgium will want to have a presence on Ypres and support from Skoda Motorsport may be forthcoming for the Barum Rally, where the Czech marque may want to bolster the ranks to ensure a home victory.
Maurin will also drive on three tarmac events in France (Mont Blanc, Antibes, du Var) with the help of the French Skoda importer.
