Adam Gould, who will represent the BFGoodrich Drivers’ Team on this weekend´s RACMSA Rally of Scotland, has admitted that he would have been forced to skip the event had he not won the tyre company’s prize seat.

Gould, one of the UK’s most promising rally drivers, beat four other British competitors to a free drive on the final round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge at the wheel of a Kronos Racing-run Peugeot 207 Super 2000.

“There’s no way I would have been able to do this event had it not been for the BFGoodrich prize,” said Gould, 22. “As much as I wanted to do it I didn’t have the sponsorship so it’s incredible to get this chance.

“It’s an awesome opportunity and it’s so good to know there are people out there who chose me for the drive because they believed in my abilities.”

Gould will test his 207 for the first time in Scotland tomorrow (November 16) ahead of his IRC debut the following weekend.
