Audi Coupé S2 General Information

It is an immense shame Audi didn't put any motorsport development into this car. The Audi Coupé S2 was the successor of the original, straight line design Coupé. The S2 was all roundy and fits more into the era of A4 models. But, importantly, the Coupé S2 on the road and such in groups A & N had an important detail that was desperately missing in earlier Audi Coupé, 80 & 90 models: a turbo! Imagine, thanks to the turbo this car had in road spec more BHP than previous 90 and Coupé in groupA!!!! The car had absolutely masses of potential, see the group A story of this car. However without works interest, the S2 struggled to get to the fame it's less potential predecessors enjoyed. In group A, we only find lesser known drivers at WRC level, as Ari Mökkönen and maybe the most famous S2 group N project was Jonny Milner in a Shell sponsored car in the BRC 1993.
