Dodge Ramcharger General Information

This is a full blown off road vehicle with all the right incredients such as automatic transmission, leaf springs all round, rear drum brakes... LOL.

Have the Dodge managers missed the point of rallying? Maybe not as the car was mainly aimed for Safari success. They had a number of rather interesting drivers as well. But it remained at only one Safari start. The car was just way too huge and heavy, so much so that already in the first sections the chassis bent and the roof showed dents. Still, the way things are going in more modern times, where some people seem to be missing the spirit of rallying promoting more compact, nimble, sporty cars as Escorts, Fiestas, Subarus and giving us extremely rough rallies like Cyprus from 2005, Turkey, Sardegna, Acropolis, I am convinced the Dodge Ramcharger would have WRC points guaranteed in those events with this car!
