2012 Rally Islas Canarias

The entry list for Canarias is looking a little more promising than Azores although I don't expect a lot of people to start their season until we get back to mainland Europe. It looks like Skoda are only going to run one works car on most events and for Canarias it will be Kopecky.

So we have the following S2000 entries confirmed:

Fabia:
Kopecky
Mikkelsen
Gassner
Wiegand
Al-Ketbi
Hevia
Puskadi

207:
Perez

Fiesta:
Oleksander Saliuk Jr.
Oleksii Tamrazov
Ammar Jihazi

Rumours include Bouffier and Magalhaes who I guess could take the boat trip straight to Canarias and the big one: Basso in a Fiesta or a 207.... Would be fantastic to have a top driver in a Fiesta on IRC and I would tip Basso to fight for the win if this happens.

Unfortunately no Bouffier or Basso in the end :(

Shame about the misfire in the end for Mikkelsen but an incredible pace by the top 2 on Canarias as you can see here:

What speed do the Fabia achieve flat out in top gear? Great onboard, nice road. ;)

With the long gearbox I think it is about 185KMH (115MPH)
