IRC I end - Rosetti wins San Remo @ 02:55 PM - Rosetti makes it 2 wins out of 2 IRC starts! Last stage was gripping as promised. Amazing 2nd fastest stage time by Ojeda, which is enough for Longhi but not quite enough for Andreucci. Panizzi passes Scandola on last stage! Basso Italian Champion. Final positions (subject to scrutineering): 1 - Rosetti/Chiarcossi, Peugeot, 2h31m32s; 2 - Basso/Dotta, Fiat Abarth, +8s7; 3 - Vouilloz/Klinger, Peugeot, +29s8; 4 - Panizzi/Panseri, Peugeot, +1m26s4; 5 - Scandola/d'Amore, Fiat Abarth, +1m31s1; 6 - Andreucci/Andreussi, Mitsubishi, +1m52s2; 7 - Ojeda/Barrabes, Peugeot, +1m58s1; 8 - Longhi/Imerito, Subaru, +2m12s3; 9 - Aghini/Cerrai, Subaru, +2m20s9; 10 - Navarra/d'Esposito, Fiat Abarth, +2m40s1;

IRC I SS9 - GroupN keeps dropping @ 02:12 PM - Stages carry on being unsuitable for groupN cars. Andreucci drops 2 places to 6th as Vouilloz posts convincing stage win. Ojeda passes Aghini, Navarra passes Loix for last points position. Biggest fight for last stage is between Scandola and Panizzi. Also Ojeda can still take on 2 groupN cars ahead of him. Positions after SS9: 1 - Rosetti/Chiarcossi, Peugeot, 2h13m31s6; 2 - Basso/Dotta, Fiat Abarth, +11s4; 3 - Vouilloz/Klinger, Peugeot, +37s3; 4 - Scandola/d'Amore, Fiat Abarth, +1m18s9; 5 - Panizzi/Panseri, Peugeot, +1m24s5; 6 - Andreucci/Andreussi, Mitsubishi, +1m39s7; 7 - Longhi/Imerito, Subaru, +1m51s3; 8 - Ojeda/Barrabes, Peugeot, +2m01s4; 9 - Aghini/Cerrai, Subaru, +2m05s8; 10 - Navarra/d'Esposito, Fiat Abarth, +2m34s6;

IRC I SS8 - GroupN cars keep tumbling @ 11:05 AM - Now Vouilloz has passed Andreucci for 3rd, Scandola & Panizzi have passed Longhi, and look at the gaps, the groupN cars are losing 20s per stage and bound to drop further! Positions after SS8: 1 - Rosetti/Chiarcossi, Peugeot, 1h54m21s2; 2 - Basso/Dotta, Fiat Abarth, +16s; 3 - Vouilloz/Klinger, Peugeot, +50s7; 4 - Andreucci/Andreussi, Mitsubishi, +1m17s2; 5 - Scandola/d'Amore, Fiat Abarth, +1m18s4; 6 - Panizzi/Panseri, Peugeot, +1m27s9; 7 - Longhi/Imerito, Subaru, +1m34s1; 8 - Aghini/Cerrai, Subaru, +1m50s3; 9 - Ojeda/Barrabes, Peugeot, +2m01s4; 10 - Loix/Chevaillier, Fiat Abarth, +2m30s2;

IRC I SS7 - Bad stages for groupN cars @ 10:25 AM - SS7 has been dry and needed precise, racing style car set ups. This is bad news for groupN cars. As the remaining stages are similar and we had groupN cars in 3rd, 4th & 6th places, there are bound to be position changes. Vouilloz has already passed Longhi. Panizzi & Scandola have already passed Aghini. Positions after SS7: 1 - Rosetti/Chiarcossi, Peugeot, 1h36m15s; 2 - Basso/Dotta, Fiat Abarth, +17s6; 3 - Andreucci/Andreussi, Mitsubishi, +46s1; 4 - Vouilloz/Klinger, Peugeot, +50s6; 5 - Longhi/Imerito, Subaru, +1m10s; 6 - Panizzi/Panseri, Peugeot, +1m19s6; 7 - Scandola/d'Amore, Fiat Abarth, +1m20s2; 8 - Aghini/Cerrai, Subaru, +1m33s6; 9 - Ojeda/Barrabes, Peugeot, +1m56s9; 10 - Loix/Chevaillier, Fiat Abarth, +2m07s3;

IRC I SS5 - Stage win for Scandola! @ 00:23 AM - Abarth's youngster Umberto Scandola is a surprise winner of SS5 Rosa, disappointing stage times for his team leader Andrea Navarra and former WRC star Gilles Panizzi. IRC I SS4 - King of the night is Rosetti @ - The 44km SS4 Ginestra night stage was likely going to be a decider and devide the men from the boys. In this case the men are Basso, Rosetti & Vouilloz, everybody else was at least 20s off the pace in this stage. This means we have a new leader too. NEWS JUST IN

IRC I SS4 - before the stage @ 10:38 PM - The 44km mammoth night stage has just started. In contrast to earlier the conditions are reported to be mostly dry. In the first loop of stages today especially the Peugeots, including Gilles Panizzi, are reported to have been on the wrong tyres. Their results after SS3 impressive then. Interestingly the leading Mitsubishi was on Pirellis (traditionally the best wet tyre). But now SS4 is be dry, which promises a complete change to the above furtunes!

IRC I SS3 - Andreucci again @ 06:52 PM - There are many changes behind leader Andreucci, who won 2 out of 3 stages now. Panizzi probably only had a spin, as after SS3 he moves up 4 places! Also Vouilloz and Navarra seem to recover from SS2 slips. But Magalhaes in turn had a small time loss in SS3. Positions after SS3: 1 - Andreucci/Andreussi, Mitsubishi, 29m40s4; 2 - Rosetti/Chiarcossi, Peugeot, +2s2; 3 - Basso/Dotta, Fiat Abarth, +20s9; 4 - Longhi/Imerito, Subaru, +27s7; 5 - Aghini/Cerrai, Subaru, +38s9; 6 - Panizzi/Panseri, Peugeot, 40s8: 7 - Travaglia/Granai, Fiat Abarth, +40s9; 8 - Loix/Chevaillier, Fiat Abarth, +41s4; 9 - Scandola/d'Amore, Fiat Abarth, +41s7; 10 - Vouilloz/Klinger, Peugeot, +43s9;

IRC I SS2 - Gilles Panizzi delayed @ 06:39 PM - Rosetti wins SS2, but was the show of his team mate Gilles Panizzi a short one? For unknown reasons Panizzi drops 30s. Positions after SS2: 1 - Andreucci/Andreussi, Mitsubishi, 22m12s9; 2 - Rosetti/Chiarcossi, Peugeot, +0s1; 3 - Basso/Dotta, Fiat Abarth, +13s1; 4 - Longhi/Imerito, Subaru, +21s8; 5 - Aghini/Cerrai, Subaru, +30s4; 6 - Scandola/d'Amore, Fiat Abarth, +31s3; 7 - Loix/Chevaillier, Fiat Abarth, +31s7; 8 - Travaglia/Granai, Fiat Abarth, +31s8; 9 - Magalhaes/Grave, Peugeot, +33s; 10 - Panizzi/Panseri, Peugeot, +34s

IRC I SS1 - Tyre gamble go!!!! @ 06:08 PM - The roads are very wet but thought to dry quickly. Will be interesting as there is 3 stages before service. Generally all Peugeots are on full wet tyres, all Fiats are on hand cut slicks. Positions after SS1: 1 - Andreucci/Andreussi, Mitsubishi, 8m58s8; 2 - Rosetti/Chiarcossi, Peugeot, +6s9; 3 - Panizzi/Panseri, Peugeot, +8s8; 4 - Longhi/Imerito, Subaru, +14s3; 5 - Basso/Dotta, Fiat Abarth, +17s1; 6 - Aghini/Cerrai, Subaru, +19s9; 7 - Navarra/d'Esposito, Fiat Abarth, +20s2; 8 - Loix/Chevaillier, Fiat Abarth, +20s5; 9 - Vouilloz/Klinger, Peugeot, +21s5; 10 - Magalhaes/Grave, Peugeot, +25s
