Subaru Marcus Takes The Win! @ 11:59 AM - Marcus did enough to hold off everyone and take the win on his home event. On the last stage Harri had reported left front shock absorber problems and Burns need to beat him by 12 seonds, he beat him by 21.2 so Burns ended up 25.0 seconds behind Gronholm in second. McRae third 7.3 seconds behind Burns!

Ford Delecour Out @ 08:11 AM - Francois Delecour didn't even get a chance to tackle the longest stage of the rally - his Focus WRC retired before this morning's service with fuel pressure problems. It's a familiar problem; the team will be hoping that the problems don't surface on the number three or four cars. McRae and Sainz hold station after Moksi-Leustu.

Colin McRae and Carlos Sainz have settled upon a steady pace on day one of the Rally of Finland, ending the leg in sixth and ninth position respectively - there's lots more to do.

Mitsubishi Tommi Out on SS1 @ 08:08 AM - The local hero lost a wheel after crashing on the first stage into a ditch and damaging a wheel. Bad news for the favourite, Rovenpera was quickest from Burns and Auriol.
