Rally Australia (NSW) History

It hasn't got the uniqueness of Perth, nor the characteristic red soil, nor the ultra slippery ball bearing surface. But it had to take the place of the Perth event, since the Perth region was disappointed with modern changes in WRC and would no longer support the event. However, if not for unique surface, the first edition of the New South Wales - Kingscliff, near the Queensland border - Rally Australia in 2009 made a name for itself in Green fanatics making their protest in trying to kill rally drivers. They not only protests but repeatedly blocked roads with heavy object in blind, fast stretches, even though by government and court ruling before the event the rally was permitted and the Green activists proven wrong already. By all due respect to anybody's points, nobody needs murder attempts on rally drivers, which is why after only one edition the rally moved base yet again, still in NSW but further south around Coffs Harbour.
