Rallye-Info.com, however, reserve the right to add tips which did not reach the competition by the cut-off time for any valid reason to Rallye-Info.com's discretion if received before the closing date via the site feedback form or by email. So if you are having problems send your tips to us manually.

Points: The following points system is used:

Position Correct 1 Off 2 Off 3 Off 4 Off 5 Off 6 Off 7 Off
1st 100 80 60 50 40 30 20 10
2nd 80 60 50 40 30 20 10 8
3rd 60 50 40 30 20 10 8 6
4th 50 40 30 20 10 8 6 5
5th 40 30 20 10 8 6 5 4
6th 30 20 10 8 6 5 4 3
7th 20 10 8 6 5 4 3 2
8th 10 8 6 5 4 3 2 1

For example if you tip Tommi Makinen for 3rd on an event and his final position in the event is 3rd you will receive the full points for tipping third correctly, 60 points. If Tommi was to finish 1st or 5th (ie. 2 position from the place you tipped him at) you would receive the points for tipping third off by 2 positions, 40 points.

Points are only calculated on the top 8 final positions. For example, drivers who finish 9th, 10th, 11th, etc if chosen for a top 8 finish you are not awarded points for.

Old Points (Used in 2002): This is our old points system used in 2002 which can be used as a reference when looking at the results from 2002. For each placing the actual result is away from each tip players will get 7/10 (0.7) of the score for getting it correct. As follows :

Position Correct 1 Off 2 Off 3 Off 4 Off 5 Off 6 Off 7 Off
1st 100 70 49 34 24 17 12 8
2nd 60 42 29 21 14 10 7 5

Prizes: There are currently no prizes offered. Any prizes for each round will be awarded to the highest point scorers of each round for how many prizes there are. The winners will be annouced on the Rallye-Info.com website and the tipper notified by the email account on file. If any winner fails to respond to the annoucements or contact within one (1) month they forfiet the prize and the next highest points scorer for that round or tally without a prize for that round already will be awared the prize by the same means and have the same rules apply to their right to the prize. This proccess will continue until a response is drawn. Further, Rallye-Info.com takes no responsibility for prizes not reaching the winner, but will be happy to produce evidence in the form of a receipt that the prize was sent.

In the case of a draw where the points are equal but the tips are different the tipper with a highest-placed driver(s) correct will be awarded the higher position regarding any prizes. In the case of an absolute draw where points are equal as well as tips the tipper with the higher tally on the overall tally page for the year of the round will be awarded the higher position regarding any prizes. In any case of a draw the resulting position regarding prizes may not be represented on the results page for the round for technical reasons.

We reserve the righ to change these rules at any time. For now, enter your tips by going to the Tipping Competition Introduction page and choosing an open round.
